GARNER
Margaret Garner with the alias name peggy garner was a slave woman from Boone county , Kentucky. Garner, was described as a mullato woman and was a house slave to the Gaines family. It is assumed she may have been the daugter of the plantation owner John Pollard Gaines. Margaret married a fellow slave Robert Garner in 1849 where they had several children where some were assumed to be fathered by the plantation owners children.
